This 100% Islay single cask release was bottled in mid-2025 for the Taiwanese market. The whisky, produced entirely at Kilchoman ‘from barley to bottle’, matured for over 8 years in an ex-Bourbon barrel from Buffalo Trace. Exactly one year earlier, the Taiwanese importer had bottled sister cask 662/2016. This gave Taiwanese whisky fans the wonderful opportunity to appreciate the difference that an extra year of maturation in an ex-bourbon barrel makes.
