Kilchoman White Port Finish Single Cask 15/911 for Whiskyhort – Hilgering – Flickenschild
In February 2025, three German whisky shops – Whiskyhort from Oberhausen, Schlüter’s Geniessertreff from Wülfrath and Flickenschild from Itzehoe – jointly released a Kilchoman single cask bottling for the first time as part of the Whisky3 series.
Now, with a slightly different combination of participating shops, another Kilchoman release has followed. Instead of Schlüter’s Geniessertreff, this time the third member of the group is Weinhaus Hilgering from Dortmund, which, as is well known, hosted the 3rd German Kilchoman Day on 26 September.
The bottling was also available in time for Kilchoman Day, so that visitors could taste another new Kilchoman whisky in addition to the exclusive Kilchoman Day Release.
The bottling is one of the still quite rare White Port Cask Finishes. The whisky was first matured for a good seven and a half years in an ex-bourbon barrel and was then finished for more than two years in a white port cask.
The bottles can be purchased for EUR 99.90 at the three participating shops.
