In September 2025, French spirits retailer and Kilchoman importer La Maison Du Whisky published its annual autumn catalogue of exclusive LMDW bottlings of whisky, rum and other spirits, entitled Itinéraires (‘Travel Routes’).
This included two new Kilchoman single cask bottlings. In addition to the 18 yo ex-bourbon cask bottling mentioned here under the name ‘Kilnave Chapel’ (a ruined church west of Loch Gruinart on Islay), there was also a 10-year-old Pedro Ximénez sherry cask maturation under the name ‘Sleeping Giant’ (named after a rock formation north of Saligo Bay, clearly visible from Kilchoman, which resembles a sleeping giant).
This release, from one of the few remaining casks from 2006 at the time of bottling, was one of the very first 18-year-old Kilchoman single cask bottlings.
