In September 2020, the well-known French spirits retailer and Kilchoman importer “La Maison du Whisky” launched an exclusive range of 5 Kilchoman single cask bottlings under the name “The Wills Family Cask Collection”. The concept behind the series was that each of the five members of the Kilchoman owner family would choose a special cask. The result was a series of truly outstanding bottlings.

Peter Wills, the youngest son of Kathy and Anthony Wills, chose a Ruby Port cask in which the whisky has been matured for over 6 years.

Peter wrote: “Ruby port casks work really well with maturing Kilchoman spirit. The port influence perfectly complements our core character, adding layers of red berries, cinnamon and smoke paprika. These character have developed in perfect harmony with citrus sweetness and peat smoke of our new make spirit and allow for these flavours to flourish rather masking them.”
