20th Anniversary Cask Series released
Kilchoman is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the distillery’s founding not only with a series of events but also with special bottlings. The centrepiece of these anniversary bottlings – the 20th Anniversary Cask Series – is now available. It consists of four small batch bottlings – two 14-year-old, one 15-year-old and one 18-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, the oldest Kilchoman to date. For each of the four releases, Anthony Wills selected five casks and married them together, 20 casks to celebrate Kilchoman’s 20th anniversary; 20 casks that epitomise the unique flavour profile of Kilchoman and characterise two decades of commitment to craft. 20 casks that are a testament to Anthony Wills and his team’s skill, dedication, and perseverance.

The Kilchoman 15 Years Ex-Sherry Butts stands out in particular for its colour, which has been given an intense dark hue by the extreme sherry influence, and has been bottled at an alcohol content of 52.7% ABV. One of the two Kilchoman 14 Years was also matured in sherry butts, producing intense notes of dates, spices and chocolate. The other two whiskies – Kilchoman 14 Years Old and Kilchoman 18 Years Old – were matured in ex-bourbon barrels, which bring out rich notes of vanilla and toffee.
With great attention to detail, new decorative packaging has been created especially for the series, which are truly beautiful to look at.
