In September 2020, the well-known French spirits retailer and Kilchoman importer “La Maison du Whisky” launched an exclusive range of five Kilchoman single cask bottlings under the name “The Wills Family Cask Collection”. The concept behind the series was that each of the five members of the Kilchoman founder family would choose a special cask. The result was a series of truly outstanding bottlings.

George Wills, eldest son of Kathy and Anthony Wills chose a Oloroso Sherry hogshead in which the whisky has been matured for over 9 years.

George wrote: “Sherry and peat smoke is a recipe for a distinct style of Islay whisky, that´s why I have always been drawn to our sherry casks. The rich influence of the oloroso sherry soaked oak combines with the peat smoke of Kilchoman to create a big bold style that balances dried fruits and mixed spices with rich peat smoke and a meaty savory note which I love.”
