After the “Kilchoman Inaugural Release” and the “Autumn 2009 Release”, the “Spring 2010 Release”, released in April 2010, was the third limited edition of a Kilchoman whisky. It was first matured for 3 years in fresh ex-bourbon barrels and was finished for 3 months in “very active” Oloroso Sherry Butts. Four refill bourbon barrels were also added to the vatting, which were not finished in Oloroso casks.

As with the previous two releases, the contents of each cask were first married on Islay and reduced to 46% drink strength before being shipped to the Houston Bottling Company in Dumbarton, where bottling took place. The run size was not specified this time.
