First Kilchoman Day 2025 in Berlin – some impressions

The first of the Kilchoman Days, a series of events organised to mark the distillery’s 20th anniversary, took place on 26 July 2025 in Berlin at the whisky shop Whisky & Cigars and the courtyard behind it. The distillery was represented by three prominent figures, Anthony Wills, Peter Wills and Catherine MacMillan, while German importer HAWE was represented by four representatives. And of course Kilchomania.com was also there for our ‘home game’, contributing an exhibition entitled ‘The Kilchoman Distillery as reflected in its bottlings’ with 100 historic bottles of Kilchoman whisky.

The numerous whisky fans in attendance had the opportunity to taste all of the current Kilchoman releases, Anthony Wills presented the 20th Anniversary Cask Series in two special tastings, delicious cocktails and free beer were enjoyed, and everyone took the opportunity to chat with the Kilchoman team. The conclusion of all those involved was that it was an extremely successful event!

Here are a few pictures from the event:

(From left to right) In his opening speech, Anthony looked back on the last 20 years of the Kilchoman Distillery. Probably inspired by the fact that Berlin is where Kilchomania.com was founded, Anthony thanked me in front of the assembled audience for everything we have done for Kilchoman and praised me as his ‘personal Kilchoman memory’. A wonderful tribute and incentive to keep going!
