As in 2010, an exclusive Kilchoman single cask was again presented at the Kilchoman Tasting Tour 2011 in Germany. And again it was a 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt, a sister cask of the 2010 bottling (Cask No. 332/2006), now matured one year longer with almost 5 years.

And also like the bottling for the German Tasting Tour 2010, the Oloroso Sherry Butt 322/2006 was a so-called “split cask”. That means that the present bottling was only filled with a part of the contents, the other part had been bottled 13 days earlier for Kensington Wine Market in Calgary, Canada. Especially in the early Kilchoman days, when the individual markets did not yet require such high bottle numbers, it was a common practice to split the contents of the large 500 litre sherry butts between two or three bottlings.
