Presale of the Sauternes Matured Release for the Kilchoman Appreciation Society started

The Kilchoman Appreciation Society is the largest Facebook group of Kilchoman lovers worldwide. For their first own single cask bottling, 50 of their members chose Sauternes Cask No. 903/2015 from 4 different cask samples in an online tasting with Anthony Wills on 3 February 2022.

The cask was bottled in mid-April and since yesterday the 50 members of the selection panel plus the 20 most active group members can each order a bottle. The sale to all other members is scheduled to start next week.

The Sauternes Hogshead 903/2015, in which the whisky was matured for over 6 years, is a sister cask to the Sauternes Hogshead No. 902/2015, which was bottled exactly one year ago for the French Kilchoman importer and whisky distributor “La Maison du Whisky”. As is so often the case with Kilchoman, this offers good opportunities for comparison, in this case to trace the maturation of the whisky in Sauternes casks.
