Kilchoman Madeira Cask Matured Release announced

Kilchoman announced today that the last Limited Release of 2015 will be available on 5 October. And this one is something very special: a Madeira Cask Matured Release. Following last year’s limited edition 3rd Club Release, which featured a Kilchoman from a Madeira cask, this is the first time that a larger release from this type of cask will be presented. Seventeen ex-Madeira casks filled in 2011 were selected for this release and bottled at 50% ABV.

Only 6,100 bottles will soon be available from local retailers worldwide. A small quantity will be offered on the Kilchoman website on Monday, 5 October, from 10 a.m. The price there is £69 per bottle and is limited to one bottle per person.

The Madeira Cask Matured Release follows the Port Cask Release of 2014 and is another example of full maturation in casks which are usually only used by other distilleries for finishing.
