Kilchoman Savu Small Batch for Finland

A new Small Batch Release has now been launched in Finland under the name Savu. This is already the fifth Small Batch Release for Finland. Following three bottlings in the series of Small Batch Releases for Selected Markets, which began in 2019, a Bourbon Barrel Small Batch was released in 2022 under the name Turve.

Finland is a very specific Kilchoman market, too small for its own single cask releases, yet large enough that there is a certain demand for country-specific Kilchoman bottlings, which until now has been met exclusively by Small Batch Releases in moderate quantities.

The latest bottling, “Savu” – the Finnish word for “smoke” – is a vatting of ex-bourbon and STR casks (Shaved, Toasted & Re-charred ex-Red Wine Hogsheads). The whisky carries no age statement and has been bottled at 50% ABV. Bottles can be ordered online from alko.fi for EUR 89.98.
