Kilchoman 10 yo Oloroso Hogshead 15/285 for Kensington Wine Market

The well-known Canadian wine and spirits shop Kensington Wine Market in Calgary has now released another exclusive Kilchoman single cask bottling following a brief hiatus of two and a half years. This is already the 13th Kilchoman release from Kensington Wine Market, making the shop the world leader in Kilchoman single cask releases.

This new bottling is a whisky that has been fully matured for a good 10 years in an Oloroso sherry hogshead. Although owner Andrew Ferguson is an avowed fan of bourbon cask maturations – as reflected in previous Kilchoman releases from KWM – here he wanted to introduce his customers to the maturation of Kilchoman whisky in an Oloroso sherry cask. According to Andrew, this bottling strikes a successful balance between the influence of the sherry cask and the distillate, whilst still offering enough sherry character for those who love a mix of peat and sherry!

The bottles are now available for $194.99 at Kensington Wine Market.
