Kilchoman Carcavelos Cask Finish 18/1278 – Warehouse Exclusive

Since April 2026, Kilchoman has been offering warehouse tastings to visitors to the distillery. These take place once a day from Sunday to Thursday in Warehouse 2, one of the four on-site dunnage warehouses, which is primarily used to store so-called ‘experimental’ cask types. Guests will draw whisky straight from the cask and explore three specially selected casks that highlight the breadth of Kilchoman flavour and the stories behind them.

Kilchoman also sells 10 cl bottles from these casks as ‘Warehouse Exclusives’ in the distillery’s visitor centre. The Carcavelos Cask Finish listed here was part of the second series of three ‘Warehouse Exclusives’, which have been on sale at the Visitor Centre since September 2026.

Carcavelos is a fortified wine from the eponymous region – Portugal’s smallest wine-growing region, situated south-west of Lisbon – which is produced from both white and red grapes and aged for several years in 250-litre oak casks.
