The Gillies Club – Australia is a private whisky club. It was founded in February 1977, making it one of the oldest single malt clubs in the world.

The club has numerous branches in Australia and New Zealand. Membership is by invitation only.

In 2025, the Gillies Club released the Kilchoman single cask bottling listed here as its 45th exclusive club bottling.
The whisky was matured for over thirteen years in an ex-Bourbon barrel from Buffalo Trace.

Members of the Gillies Club joined a tasting Anthony Wills did in New Zealand for the Kilchoman distributor there and fell in love with this cask sample that was in the line-up. It was originally a sample for a potential New Zealand bottling, then Gillies Club in Australia got there first – “another serendipity” – to which the bottling owes its subtitle.
