This bottling of a fresh four-year-old ex-bourbon barrel was the first Kilchoman single cask release for the Austrian market.

As the Potstill company in Vienna acts both as the Austrian general importer of numerous distilleries, including Kilchoman, but is also a large whisky shop itself, in order to avoid conflicts of interest it has quite often had partial editions of the bottlings it imports for other Austrian shops or whisky clubs provided with a different label at their request or organised joint bottlings quite unbureaucratically.
Thus, many Austrian Kilchoman single cask bottlings exist in several variants (partial editions) with different labels, in this case a variant of 50 bottles for the “50 of 5” Whisky Club.
