On March 5, 2014 Kilchoman announced the launch of its first Travel Retail Exclusive bottling: “Coull Point” (the bottles were already available since the end of 2013). Continuing the tradition of naming their whiskies after landmarks near the distillery, “Coull Point” is a rugged headland just half a mile north of Machir Bay. The release is exclusively available from “World of Whiskies” duty free shops at airports across the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. The recommended retail price is £ 44.99.

It is a vatting of 4 and 5 year old Fresh-Ex-Bourbon Barrels, with the 4 year old being finished in Oloroso Sherry Butts for 4 weeks . This is the same composition as in Machir Bay 2013, so you could call the Coull Point a Machir Bay Batch with its own name.
