Kilchoman Miniature Bottles

Kilchoman released 5 cl miniature bottles of many of its major releases, for which there is, as is well known, a dedicated collectors’ market. From the very first Kilchoman bottling, the Inaugural Release in 2009, to the 10th Anniversary Release in 2015, 14 official miniature bottlings were released. Since then, only the two standard releases, Machir Bay and Sanaig, have been available as miniatures.

Prior to this, Kilchoman had already released numerous miniature bottlings of New Spirit. From 2006 to 2009, these releases – sold almost exclusively in the distillery shop or online – were the first and only bottlings that allowed whisky enthusiasts to sample the Kilchoman spirit.

In addition, Kilchoman bottled eight official miniatures for the Canadian whisky shop Kensington Wine Market, which used them primarily for its annual advent calendars. Further details can be found below.

Kilchoman Miniatures for Kensington Wine Market, Calgary

The Canadian wine and spirits retailer Kensington Wine Market, based in Calgary, released Kilchoman single cask bottlings on a fairly regular basis. For its annual Whisky Advent Calendar, Kensington Wine Market also commissioned Kilchoman to produce 5 cl miniature bottles from a selection of these bottlings. With the exception of 2020, all KWM Whisky Advent Calendars from 2015 to 2021 contained miniatures of Kilchoman whisky. Six single cask bottlings for KWM, plus an exclusive bottling of Loch Gorm 2015, a Sanaig miniature and a single cask bottling for Alberta.

Whisky advent calendars are offered every year by a whole range of whisky shops. The sample bottles they contain are usually bottled and labelled by the retailer themselves. The bottles in the KWM Whisky Advent Calendar, on the other hand, are official Kilchoman bottlings and have therefore been listed here.
