Kilchoman Releases for Islay Pipe Band
The Kilchoman distillery has been sponsoring the Islay Pipe Band since 2012. The activities of the band have often been reported on the Kilchoman homepage and a performance by the Islay Pipe Band has been a fixed item on the programme at the Kilchoman Open Day at Fèis Ìle for years.
From 2013 to 2017, Kilchoman released an annual single cask bottling for the Islay Pipe Band. The bottles were sold exclusively at the distillery’s visitor centre and all proceeds went to the band.
The casks for the first three Pipe Band bottlings were selected by Kilchoman distillery manager John MacLellan, who died in 2016, and the fourth release, released shortly after his death, was dedicated to him.
