Kilchoman Poland Small Batch No. 2

A good year after Poland Small Batch No. 1, the Polish Kilchoman importer M&P now released the 2nd bottling of the series.

The whiskies in the series of Small Batch Releases for selected markets launched in 2019, with which Kilchoman aims to showcase its experimental side, are each based on an already finished Machir Bay vatting or Machir Bay Collaborative Vatting, i.e. a whisky with 46% alcohol strength, which was previously matured for approx. 5 years predominantly in bourbon barrels and 5-15% in oloroso sherry casks. This vatting is then married with an additional special cask.

For the Poland Small Batch No. 2, the additional cask is again a Sauternes wine cask. This time the proportions are given as 75% bourbon, 5% oloroso sherry and 20% Sauternes. In the first Poland Small Batch, the proportions were 70% bourbon, 5% Oloroso sherry and 25% Sauternes.
