Loch Gorm 2019 Edition angekündigt

Wie schon in den vergangenen Jahren beginnt der Reigen der jährlichen Limited Releases mit der Loch Gorm-Reihe, dem ausschließlich in Oloroso-Sherryfässern gereiften Kilchoman-Whisky. Anthony Wills wählte für die diesjährige Ausgabe 20 Oloroso Sherry Butts aus den Jahren 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 und 2011 aus. Das heißt, dass hier zum ersten Mal auch 12 und 13 Jahre alte Fässer enthalten sind. Die Auflage beträgt 15.000 Flaschen, abgefüllt wurde mit einer Alkoholstärke von 46% abv.

Kilchoman Gründer & Managing Director Anthony Wills schrieb zur Abfüllung: “It has been fascinating to see first-hand how the character of our oloroso butts have developed. Recent editions of Loch Gorm have seen a coming-of-age for the range, the addition 12 and 13 year old casks add a fantastic balance and complexity.”

Anthony’s tasting notes: Layers of stewed plums, pears and tropical fruit have become more defined in the casks as they age, complimenting the bold, spicy and rich character of early releases, creating a beautiful marriage of Kilchoman and oloroso sherry cask maturation. I’m delighted with the 2019 release and look forward seeing how it’s received.”

Eine begrenzte Anzahl von Flaschen ist seit dem heutigen 8. April 2019 über den Kilchoman Online Shop erhältlich, für £69.90 in den britischen Whiskyshops und in Kürze dann in den internationalen Kilchoman-Märkten.
